Adult learning is session 2 of the revised Initial Training in Adult Literacies Learning (ITALL) pack. This aims to explore the range of situations where adults make use of literacies and help participants to begin to understand how adults learn.
Learning Objectives
Participants should be able to:
- reflect critically on his or her own experiences of learning
- identify key ideas in effective adult learning
- consider the range of influences that affect an adult’s choices about learning, including issues of access
- begin to engage with the roles and responsibilities of a tutor
