This video shows what was achieved by the Sport and Literacies Project run by Perth and Kinross Council Adult Literacies team and Perth YMCA.
The project aimed to increase the confidence of young people to access appropriate literacies support. Learners were encouraged throughout to reflect on and evaluate their use of literacies skills within the programme and as members of their community. This encouraged them to think about the relevance literacies had for them as individuals and citizens in the wider world of education, work, family and community.
